Pet Shop Boys - Please
The Pet Shop Boys are an English synth-pop duo that was formed in London in 1981. The group consists of singer Neil Tennant and instrumentalist Chris Lowe. They met at an electronics shop where Tennant was working as a sales assistant and Lowe was the in-store keyboardist.

Tennant was a fan of electronic music and had been writing pop songs, while Lowe was interested in the emerging synthesizer technology. They soon started working together on music, drawing inspiration from the New Romantic and disco movements of the time.

In August 1981, they released their first single, "West End Girls," which became a hit in the UK and later a worldwide success. This was the beginning of their career as the Pet Shop Boys, and they went on to release several critically acclaimed albums and become one of the most successful pop groups of the 1980s and 1990s.
