Why should we use AudioMover for this service?
We have the unique distinction of being both computer experts and audio experts. We could brag about our digital equipment and technology but that isn't the important thing. Yes we use professional analog to digital equipment, as a matter of fact, we are capable of digitizing your LPs and tapes in 32Bit 96K audio if you like (that's the up-and-coming professional audio standard). But equipment and technology is only half the story. The point is, the engineer that works on the project is just as important as the studio and the equipment. A great recording is the result of a skilled and cautious engineer. At AudioMover, we bring that expertise to the table with every project. We have worked in the world of professional audio for over a decade. We thrive on quality results. We bring human skill and passion to your project. If you want your project done correctly, we believe we are the only reasonable choice.

We have been working in the world of professional audio for over a decade. We are experts at getting good sound. We believe we have the best quality available - don't let the price fool you. |

You are operated by Thick and Mystic Media? What is that?
Thick and Mystic Media is the "parent" company. Thick and Mystic Media is a company that does audio and video production, multimedia programming, web design, graphic design and more. Thick and Mystic was established in 1994 as a publishing company when we recorded music for some TV movies. It grew from there. And now AudioMover is the part of the company that handles the analog to digital media transfers. Click here to learn more about Thick and Mystic.

Is there a guarantee?
We do a cursory listen to most CDs that leave our studio, however, we do not listen to every CD nor do we listen to the entire CD. If the CD did not burn correctly you will be the first to find out. We keep your audio on a hard drive for approximately 2 weeks. If you notice any problems with the CD please contact us during that period and we will burn a new copy. If there is a problem with the CD because we didn’t record the LP or cassette correctly, we will pay to have the cassette or LP shipped back to our studio to re-digitize, re-master and re-burn. We will require that you ship back the first CD we produced as well. We are not responsible to replace CDs that don’t work due to negligence on the part of the customer. |

Does the price listed include both sides of my tape?
The price is for both sides - the entire thing. Some people hide charges like that, we don't.

What type of label do you put on the CD or DVD?
We use a thermal printer to print the title information directly on the disk itself.. If you don't give us specific instructions we will use whatever is written on the item itself. If there is nothing on the item we will number it and use that number as the label. We do NOT use sticker labels. Why? Have you ever seen a piece of tape after about 10-15 years? it turns yellow and falls off! This will likely be the fate of most CD sticker labels. We want your disk to last as long as you do so we use a higher quality solution.

Will the CD you send me work in all CD players?
Some CD players don't play CDRs consistently, but it usually has more to do with the CDR than the CD player. Not all CDRs are created equally! Over the years we have experimented with many brands and types of CDRs and we have settled on one that plays consistently in every player we have tried, from car stereo to boom box to personal CD player. It is manufactured by Taiyo Yuden. It is a bit more expensive for us (you can't buy them at the local store), but knowing it will work consistently is worth the extra cost on our end.
